Mont-Tremblant, 14 septembre 2010 Le week-end dernier s’est tenu dans la région de Mont-Tremblant, la deuxième édition du championnat provincial de pêche à la mouche, organisé par le club des Moucheurs EnDiablés. Cette deuxième édition a permis de réunir 20 compétiteurs du Québec, de l’Ontario et même des Etats-Unis. Fait à noter, six des vingt compétiteurs en étaient à leur première participation à un événement compétitif. La crue soudaine des eaux en ce début d’automne a forcé l’annulation des sessions en rivières qui furent remplacées par deux sessions en lac. L’organisation d’un tel événement permet d’accomplir plusieurs objectifs dont entre autre, la promotion non seulement de la pêche à la mouche, mais aussi d’une pêche responsable avec la graciation (remise à l’eau) des prises facilitée par l’absence d’ardillon sur les hameçons; le développement d’une plus grande culture autour de ce sport; la découverte touristique de la région par les québécois et touristes de provenances diverses et finalement, de permettre l’émergence d’une structure compétitive plus formelle menant au championnat canadien. A travers ce type d’événement, ses efforts d’ensemencement et de conservation, ses partenariat avec des organismes comme Agir pour la Diable et sa participation annuelle à la journée des jeunes, le club des Moucheurs EnDiablés continu d’être un acteur important dans le milieu de la pêche à la mouche au Québec en se présentant comme un point rassembleur pour tout ceux qui la pratique. This second edition had gathered 20 competitors from Quebec, Ontario and event the United States. Interestingly enough, six of the twenty competitors were participating in a competitive event for the first time. The sudden and unexpected rise of the water level in this early fall forced the cancellation of the planned river sessions and were replaced by two lake sessions. The organisation of such an event enables the club to fulfill many objectives like promoting not only the sport of fly fishing, but also a responsible approach to fishing with a catch and release practice made easier by the use of barbless hooks; developing the culture around the sport; encouraging the discovery of the region by Quebecers and tourists alike; and finally allowing the emergence of a more formal competitive structure leading to the Canadian championship. The variety of the twenty competitors participating in this second edition, in regards to their age, experience and home town, goes to show the great ease of accessibility of this fantastic sport. Through such event, its stocking and conservation efforts, its partnership with organisms like Agir pour la Diable, and its annual participation in the Youth Day, the club des Moucheurs EnDiablés continues to be an important actor in the Quebec world of fly fishing in acting as a center pole for all those who practice the sport. A chaque année depuis 2004, le club des Moucheurs EnDiablés organise une compétition amicale autrefois appelée le Défi de la Diable.
Depuis l’an dernier, toujours dans le but de promouvoir la pêche à la mouche, le club a élargit ses horizons et à transformé son événement en un championnat provincial.
La totalité de l’événement s’est donc déroulée à la pourvoirie Baroux, dans les Laurentides.
Quatre sessions de trois heures chacune, étalées sur deux jours de compétition, ont permis aux participants de pêcher plus de 130 truites arc-en-ciel et mouchetées qui ont toutes été remises à l’eau.
La diversité des vingt compétiteurs de cette deuxième édition tant au niveau de la provenance géographique qu’au niveau de l’âge et de l’expérience, démontre bien l’accessibilité de ce sport merveilleux.

Annually since 2004, the club of the Moucheurs EnDiablés had organised a friendly competition called the Défi de la Diable.
Since last year, always with the goal of promoting the sport of fly fishing, the club has broadened its horizons and has transformed its event into a provincial championship.
This is why the totality of the event was held this year at the Pourvoirie Baroux in the Laurentians.
Four sessions of three hours each, stretched over two days of competition have allowed the competitors to catch more then 130 brook and rainbow trouts which were all released.
